Hurricane Ian - How You Can Help

As many of you know, our home state was ravaged by Hurricane Ian last week. In fact, we even saw the impacts closer to home, with record flooding in Downtown St. Augustine and low lying neighborhoods. Some of our fellow Floridians are facing months of cleanup and financial hardship due to the damage caused by the storm. Instead of sharing a normal blog this week, we decided to share some resources and links to donate to those in need.

St. Johns County Post-Hurricane Ian Updates

St. Johns County has provided updates for residents and businesses in the area regarding garbage collection, FEMA Disaster Assistance and free water distribution. For more information, visit this link.

Residents needing assistance with damage from Hurricane Ian may call the Home Cleanup Hotline at 800-451-1954 to be connected with volunteers from local relief organizations that may be able to assist with cutting fallen trees, removing drywall, flooring, and appliances, tarping roofs, and mold mitigation. This service is free but not guaranteed due to overwhelming need.

Florida Disaster Fund

The Florida Disaster Fund is the State of Florida's official private fund established to assist Florida's communities as they respond to and recover during times of emergency or disaster. In partnership with the public sector, private sector and other non-governmental organizations, the Florida Disaster Fund supports response and recovery activities. American Red Cross

Feeding Florida

Feeding Florida is feeding as many individuals as they can during the aftermath of Hurricane Ian. In their response, they are working closely with the food banks in their network to provide food, water, and resources to those affected. To learn more or donate, click here.

Convoy of Hope

Convoy of Hope is a Missouri-based non-profit that uses donations to put together relief supplies and kits to families facing the impacts of natural disasters and emergencies. As little as $15 can help create a family hygiene kit that will be distributed to families in need. To learn more or donate, click here.
